Meet Candice!

Candice is the owner and lead practitioner at the Aston Wellness Clinic, which opened in its downtown Timmins location in the Spring of 2019. She has been practicing as a Registered Physiotherapist since 2006, with over 18 years of clinical experience. She has been a practicing Osteopath (D.O.M.P.) since 2015.

In opening the Aston Wellness Clinic, Candice’s mission is “To be the most comprehensive and holistic rehabilitation provider in Northeastern Ontario.”

Education & Background

In 2015, Candice graduated from the Canadian College of Osteopathy with a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual practice (D.O.M.P.). This has furthered her extensive knowledge of the human body and how to help her patients recover their overall health and well being.

With over 12 years of post graduate education, Candice has a wide variety of techniques and tools to use for many health conditions. Candice has an extensive post graduate education in the rehabilitation field including an Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics, a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy and a diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice. She has also taken courses in acupuncture, rehabilitative exercise and chronic pain.

Candice combines expertise in physiotherapy and osteopathy to offer comprehensive care aimed at improving overall health. Her practice is enriched by a deep understanding and extensive training in these fields. She offers a well-rounded approach to health recovery and maintenance.

Candice is committed to ongoing professional development and has completed numerous post-graduate courses in key areas including:

  • Exercise Prescription: Tailoring exercise programs to meet individual health needs.

  • Chronic Pain Management: Strategies and treatments to manage long-term pain.

  • Manual Therapy: Hands-on techniques to alleviate pain and improve movement.

  • Acupuncture: Traditional Chinese medicine technique used to treat various conditions.

Research and thesis

  • Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) disorders: Exploring effective treatments for patients suffering from TMJ issues.

Specialized treatments

Infants with Colic

Using osteopathy to treat colic in infants, especially those who have experienced difficult births. Osteopathy for newborns is safe, gentle, and can offer relief from bodily tensions. It has been shown to have positive effects on:
